New Photos...

Mon Aug 3, 2009, 3:46 PM
Lots of them!
I've begun uploading photos from my recent holidays to the Isle of Mull and Northumberland, so feel free to take a look and leave some much appreciated feedback :)
I was accompanied by a friend of mine for the first week, who shall remain nameless until I've asked him whether he's still being all anonymous and such on dA... If not, I'll link to some of his photos too.

Oh, and all of my new photos will be available soon as prints via my redbubble page, hint hint ;)

I'm still alive...

The old journal was very much out of date... I've been inactive for an awfully long time.
A quick thank you for all the favourites and watches I've received in my absence, I'm sorry I can't reply to them all individually. I will be going through every one of the 12,716 deviations in my inbox however, and hopefully uploading some shots more frequently too.

Switzerland + D80

Journal Entry: Fri Jul 11, 2008, 5:39 AM
Firstly, my thanks to everyone who took time to comment on and favourite my recent shots from Switzerland. I've still got more to upload, so stay tuned ;)

Today I finally decided to order the Nikon D80 I've wanted for so long, so it should arrive sometime over the next couple of days... :excited:

Southwold

Journal Entry: Thu May 29, 2008, 2:09 AM
I've begun uploading shots from a recent trip to Southwold with ~The-Almighty-Cheese, all of which I'm very proud of. I would say it was the most successful days shooting I've ever had.
The weather was very odd - mist and low cloud - and the sea was very rough, but this turned out to be perfect conditions for the kind of minimalist long exposures I'm a fan of but don't get the chance to shoot very often.
The only question now is whether to submit all my shots at once, or limit it to two or three a day to avoid flooding peoples inboxes. Thoughts?

And now, let me present a feature of some of the shots taken by ~The-Almighty-Cheese in Southwold. I have chosen the ones I think are best, but also ones that are composed in ways I would not have thought of myself. I hate to admit it, but I think he has a much better eye for a good composition that I do.

This one, in particular, makes me very envious. He seems to have hit on an almost perfect composition for this particular shot, so much so that I didn't even bother trying to get something similar and instead whipped out the infrared filter in a bit of shameless one-upmanship :D

The next shot shows me in a somewhat precarious position... I'll be uploading the shot I got sometime soon.
